Email glossary
the words we actually use.

Short definitions for finder, verify, and jobs — so a report does not read like a mystery.

Catch-all

The domain accepts mail for any local-part. Verify cannot prove the person exists; treat as risky.

MX

Mail exchanger DNS records. No MX usually means we will not send or mark as deliverable.

SMTP check

A handshake against the mail server to see if the mailbox can receive. Not a guarantee of a human inbox.

Harvest

Fetching public /about, /team, /contact pages and indexed snippets for mailto and names.

Expand job

Background work after the first finder/search response: more CSE, crawl, or people rows.

Credit

Workspace unit for finder, verify, enrich, and extract. Plan and remaining balance are on Home.

Identity

A sending mailbox you connect (OAuth or SMTP) for outreach and warm-up.

Catch vs unknown

Unknown means the probe did not classify; catch-all means the domain accepts broadly.
